Make Team Projects Easier with Document Control Software!

Working on a project with other people can be a major headache. Usually, the team divides up the work, each individual does their part, and everyone e-mails their document to the rest of the team. At the end, there are a bunch of e-mails from each team member overloading your inbox. There are multiple duplicate documents that read “hey delete that last e-mail, this is my updated work”. You send out documents where you have edited other people’s work as well as receive e-mails that ask you to edit little parts of your work. Then, you have to put together the latest version of every group member’s documents and compile them into one big final document. Of course after you have made the final version and e-mailed it to the rest of your group, someone wants to add another change. That’s the frustration that we go through every time there is a collaborative project.

Now there is document control software which makes managing documents so much easier. It allows members of your team (or company) to log in and work on a document. When someone changes the document it will be recorded with history tracking, where you can keep record of which person made the changes, at what time, and what changes were made. The document is automatically updated for everyone to see and add on to. Document control software makes the job of compiling a document much smoother.

Some Benefits of Document Control Software:

  • Find your documents easily by searching the keywords, attributes, titles, and codes
  • You can store SOPs, CAD drawings, bills of material, work instructions, packaging specifications, spreadsheets, Office files and more
  • It manages your employee training records based on their job titles so you can easily see what training is missing or must be renewed
